In 1949 Bob Briggs started The Wee Packet (meaning small ship) with the idea
that people would return to a restaurant with the three things in mind:
Cleanliness, Quality, and the right Price. For the first two years he leased
the building and slept in a tent in the back yard with coolers to store the
food. His parents would travel from Brocton, MA with groceries on the weekends
to help. At that time the restaurant was a 20x20 building, having only 13
seats, and 90% of the business was takeout.
